Sunspot region 4366 has developed into a complex sunspot region with a magnetic Beta-Gamma-Delta layout. The region is impressive and has been producing strong solar flares today including two M5 events, two M6 events and even an X1.0 solar flare (R3-strong) that peaked at 12:33 UTC.

None of the solar flares have been eruptive thus far but there is some serious potential in this group as it rotates more and more into an earth-facing position in the days ahead. Expect more M-flare and perhaps even X-class activity in the next 24 hours. Any future eruptions have a good chance to be aimed at our planet.
